A 1,215,240-square-foot facility is expected to open in West Pennsboro Township by the end of the year. And while that is one of the largest locations of any new facility that we’ve reported on PennLive this year, there were a number unique and interesting businesses that we reported on PennLive in July that either have opened or will open.
Penne From Heaven, an Italian specialty store opened on Mountain Road. Tide Dry Cleaners will open its first location in the midstate. Amazon will open its first delivery station in the midstate near Elizabethtown. Get Air Harrisburg, an indoor trampoline park will relocate to a former Babies R Us. A new business, 3D Keepsakes in Camp Hill will scan people and pets and create an exact replica “mini-me” 3D print figurine. Gameseum, an arcade with a collection of original cabinet coin-operated arcade games, with a heavy emphasis on the iconic titles from the 80s, has opened in Ephrata. A sit-down Domino’s Pizza has opened on the West Shore and a rooftop bar, The Exchange, has opened at the top of the Marriott’s new 12-story tower in Lancaster.
And at the Capital City Mall more than a half a dozen tenants have opened or will open at the mall. And an entertainment complex is planned for a former Sears store at the Park City Center in Lancaster.
The first tenant opened at a small retail center on Walnut Street in Susquehanna Township that will have three spaces.
Construction is expected to be completed at a small retail complex on the Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township that will have four retail spaces.
Construction is also coming along at a small complex that will have three restaurants and one store on 32nd Street in Camp Hill.
From hotels to retailers and other companies, numerous businesses (and nonprofits) have opened or are set to open new locations in the region this year.
And numerous restaurants continue to open throughout the area.

Show Show opened at the mall last week near J.C. Penney. Its sister company, Shoe Dept. also has a location at the mall. The store sells shoes for women, men and children as well as handbags and accessories.
Simply Country, a home decor store opened at the mall last month.
Deep Six CBD
The store which sells CBD products opened at the mall in June.
Primanti Bros. opened a location at the Capital City Mall back in June.
Christopher & Banks
Christopher & Banks has returned to the Capital City Mall in a location near Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Outback Steakhouse has signed a lease with the Capital City Mall and plans to open at the mall this year. The 240-seat restaurant will be located on an outside parcel at the mall.
Mavis Discount Tire
Another tenant will set up shop in the parking lot of the Capital City Mall. The 7,000-square-foot center will be located near the intersection of Hartzdale Drive and Capital City Mall Drive, and will have four bays along with a waiting area and an office area. In addition to tires, Mavis also offers a number of automobile services.
The Ritner Logistics Center
The Ritner Logistics Center is being built at 3419 Ritner Highway in West Pennsboro Township near Newville. Verus Partners, a Chicago real estate development and investment company is building a 1,215,240-square-foot facility on 85.3 acres of land. Construction began in December and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The facility will have 120 dock doors, four drive-in doors, 249 auto parking spaces and 243 trailer parking spaces.
Penne From Heaven
A new Italian specialty store is coming to the Linglestown area. Penne From Heaven opened at 1019 N. Mountain Road in Lower Paxton Township last month.
Tide Dry Cleaners
Tide has confirmed that it is opening a dry cleaners in the Harrisburg area. According to real estate company, J.C. Bar’s website, a Tide Dry Cleaners will be a tenant at the future Blue Ridge Village in Lower Paxton Township that is currently under construction. J.C. Bar is the real estate company marketing the space for Blue Ridge Village. Tide locations have 24-hour drop-off and pickup, car side valet and same day dry cleaning, according to its website.
Amazon Logistics, Amazon’s shipping and delivery service, has confirmed its opening its fifth delivery station in the state. Amazon will open the 81,000-square-foot delivery hub near Elizabethtown at the Conewago Industrial Park at 10 Industrial Road in West Donegal Township, according to an LNP report. It is expected to open this summer. Amazon says the the station will create hundreds of part-time and full-time jobs, in addition to work opportunities for small businesses and independent contractors. The delivery station will offer small businesses and independent contractors the opportunity to deliver for Amazon through the Amazon Flex program.
Members 1st Federal Credit Union
Members 1st Federal Credit Union plans to open a new branch in Swatara Township after it demolishes the former Express Mart at 770 Eisenhower Blvd. Construction is expected to begin next month. Site plans have already been approved by the township. The new branch location is expected to open in the first quarter of next year. It will be the first branch to use Members 1st’s new design.
Get Air Harrisburg
Get Air Harrisburg, an indoor trampoline park on Union Deposit Road is relocating to the Paxton Towne Centre at 5125 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township. Get Air is aiming for a winter opening.
3D Keepsakes LLC
A new business in Camp Hill will scan people and pets and create an exact replica “mini-me” 3D print figurine. Jim Haberchak opened 3D Keepsakes LLC near the Camp Hill Shopping Center at 305 S. 32nd St. in June. The portrait session including the full body scan takes about 10 minutes. The scan itself takes less than a second. The scanning system uses 28 cameras and 28 projectors plus hundreds of LED lights to produce a 3D file. After processing and some touch up, printing is done by a third party vendor and figurines are available in two to four weeks.
High Concrete Group LLC
High Concrete Group LLC held a ground breaking ceremony last month at its precast concrete manufacturing headquarters at 125 Denver Road in East Cocalico Township. The company is constructing and installing a new batch plant that it says will increase output and improve productivity. The investment in equipment, construction, and other costs, the company estimates will add up to about $8 million, and will create approximately 50 to 70 new manufacturing jobs. The project is scheduled to be completed by the middle of next year.
Homestyle Charlie has opened at 19 Briarcrest Square near Piazza Sorrento. The shop sells everything from candles and soap to jewelry, purses, pottery, mugs, art sculptures and other gift items. The shop also sells greeting cards, journals, and adult coloring books.
Christopher & Banks
Christopher & Banks returned to the the Capital City Mall on Aug. 2 near Dick’s Sporting Goods. Christopher & Banks sells missy, petite, and women’s clothing ranging in sizes from 4-24W. The store also sells accessories for women.
Gameseum opened at 27 N. State St in Ephrata. Steven Van Splinter, who opened Gameseum at the end of June, has amassed a collection of original cabinet coin-operated arcade games, with heavy emphasis on the iconic titles from the 80s. There is an admission fee.
Spark Orthodontics opened in February at 4425 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton township, according to its Facebook page.
Diva Nails and Spa
Diva Nails and Spa opened at 3831 Walnut St. in Susquehanna Township. It will take up one of three spaces in a newly built facility. Two other tenants have signed agreements for the other two spaces.
PA Green Wellness
Last month PA Green Wellness opened at 800 Corporate Circle in Susquehanna Township. The new office location is led by Dr. Richard Magill, a family doctor and an internal medicine specialist for more than 35 years.
Divas Have to Eat
The Lebanon Farmers Market held a grand opening celebration with Divas have to Eat.
Fro Yolo opened in June, according to its Facebook page. Fro Yolo is located at 125 Gateway Drive in Hampden Township. Fro Yolo sells frozen yogurt, ice cream and more.
Sheetz opened a new store located at 518 Greenfield Road in East Lampeter Township last month.
Giant opened a new store at 100 TownsEdge Drive, Quarryville in June. The location was acquired from Ferguson & Hassler.
The Gallery on Bridge
A grand opening celebration was held in June at 315 Bridge St. in New Cumberland, according to the company’s Facebook page. The gallery offers art, jewelry, home decor and other items.
