Exchange Club names students of the month


Averi Dawkins, a senior at West Fargo High School from West Fargo was named the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the Month for September. She is the daughter of Stacy and Greg Dawkins.

4.40 GPA
Accomplishments:

Academics: Four year Academic Letter Winner.

Honor Roll each semester, including taking Dual Credit and AP courses

Student Body: President this senior year.

Member of Student Ambassadors.

Student Council: Two-Year Member, currently serving as President. Part of Fill the Dome, Blood Drive, Team Ian Run, and other projects.

National Honor Society: Member.

pAY Philanthropy Club: Member.

Prom Committee: Member.

Orchestra: Member since sixth grade at Cheney. State Contest participant.

Swimming: Six-year Varsity Swimmer. Captain.

Community Involvement: Lifeguard and also teach swimming lessons.

Volunteering: Teach New Americans swimming lessons for free.

Dawkins plans to attend North Dakota State University for pre-med and then the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis for dentistry to eventually have her own orthodontist clinic.

Sheyenne High School

Haley Curry, a senior at West Fargo Sheyenne High School from West Fargo was named the West Fargo Exchange Club’s Student of the Month for September. She is the daughter of Kristin and Timothy Curry.

4.14 GPA

Accomplishments:

Academics: Four year Academic Letter Winner.

Honor Roll every semester including Freshman year to date.

National Honor Society: Member – also a Board Member.

Choir: Concert Choir member.

Madrigals: Member of the extra-curricular singing group.

Homecoming: Member of the Stampede Week Homecoming Court.

Volunteering: Volunteer as Student Director for Liberty Middle School Musicals for the past three years.

Community Involvement: Very positive with the smile and greeting people at school, at work, out in the community – trying to make a difference in their lives.

Curry plans to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis as a Biology Major with a pre-dental focus and pursue her Doctorate in dental surgery in orthodontics and run her own practice.
